I finished the Baba Yaga GIF. I do believe this is my last project of my sophomore year of college! I'm getting old, man.

Fantastical Headgear

So for my traditional illustration class we had to create "fantastical headgear". Mine is a mix of a moray eel skull, shells, and lion fish fins. He's spearing a shark 'cause that's dope, yo. Oh, I'm pretty tired.

Baba Yaga

I'm working on a subtly animated gif for my digital illustration class. The fairy tale I was assigned is the story of  "Baba Yaga", a witch who eats children and lives in a hut with chicken feet.

I'm nearly finished with my line drawing, and I'm actually pretty happy with it.
Ignore the transparent children, I'll be replacing them.

I turned in the mixed media project today but I wouldn't say it's completely done, maybe 95%-ish?

Get Animated

Just messing around with the animation panel in photoshop for my digital class. I really like how the first one came out, I may have to make a more finished version.

Fancy Franks

A recipe card for the website They Draw and Cook for my digital illustration class.
It still needs some tweaking, mostly with the wall's perspective and the bricks.

They're hotdogs, but fancy.

"Slow Food USA" Billboard

In addition to the mailer I made for Slow Food USA, I also made a billboard.

Tooth Mouse

For my traditional illustration class we are working on 3D models based on "odd superstitions". My model is from the Haitian superstition of the "tooth mouse". Instead of a tooth fairy, they tell tales of a mouse who leaves money and takes lost teeth.

Here is a turn-around for the model. It will be suspended from a string hanging from some sort of armature.

A friend suggested it should be holding a tooth so I will probably add that on later.

After a sleepless night and a war with printers, I finished my duets painting for digital illustration.

Final Zozobra Poster

I finished the final poster for Will Shuster's Burning of Zozobra. I tried to get it to look like the background was beaded.

Skippy the Sea Slug

Finished the sea slug. Now on to actual homework.

Sea Slug

I'm working on a sea slug for a potential internship. It still has some work to go.

My dad likes to tell a story about having a childhood pet slug named Skippy. That never happened.

Flamenco and Poster Progress...

Got some progress done on both my digital illustration project and my traditional illustration project.

A few color comps for the Zozobra festival poster. I'm not very happy with them so I'll  to give it another try.

Late Night Ad Graph

It's been a long night but I finished the layout for the ad graph mailer.

This will go into a slit into the basket. It is made of seed paper.

Civilized vs. Barbaric : Espana!

For my digital illustration class we're doing "duets", aka contrasting themes. My words were "civilized & barbaric", and I ended up doing an illustration about flamenco dancers and matadors in Spain (that got serious really fast). Today I finished up the color study for the piece. The final won't have line work but it shows a general idea.
